Once Bitten

Documentary Series about blended families.

“In every suburban street - and in more and more families every week - life is getting increasingly complicated.”

Psychologist Larne Wellington featured in the SBS documentary series "Once Bitten: Love the Second Time Around". It is about love the second-time round -- The way we live and love in today's complex world and survive to tell the tale -- when against the odds, we dive right back in and do it all again despite the baggage and hurt from the past and added complications of ex-wives, ex-husbands and step-families.

Step-families, blended families, kids with eight grandparents or sisters who are older than their uncles: it's all happening as a steady stream of divorced adults remarry or, more commonly, form new relationships with ever more complex permutations.

And it's happening with no script, nor any accepted familial or cultural wisdom about how we should overcome the potholes, speed bumps and emotional, psychological and financial roundabouts and cul-de-sacs along the way.”
