When we meet IT technician Pania, she has just started working at the exclusive dating agency I DATE. The swanky agency is the high-tech playground of the young and beautiful.

Life is good for Pania, who is played by Whale Rider actor Tahei Simpson. She has a good job and lives with her three best friends: her cousins Vinnie and Petulia (former Shortland Street actors Jarod Rawiri and Amber Curreen) and her best friend Elena (Katerina Fatupaitoa). But the friends are all lacking in the love department.

When Pania is suddenly dumped by her fiancé Jethro and subsequently rejected by the exclusive dating site along with Vinnie and Elena, a drunken night out unexpectedly inspires them to start their own agency. These lovable but entirely chaotic friends are determined to find love for all the I DATE rejects because everyone deserves love, not just the perfectly profiled people on the elite site. It should be easy but not everyone is honest in their profiles, complicating matters for the four friends. Can they find love for all the I DATE rejects?
